Hello
I'm from Sweden, just saw your documentary film and I must say, I'm really impressed by your faith in the band.
I'm an old rocker, but my career stopped at gigs in small clubs and has long been over.
OK, I like your music! happy greetings
Hang on

This documentary really touched my heart, I'm not good at writing the English language, but I can only say that you are a great band, you are great people, the most metalheads I know. Thank you for your brilliant music and the great legacy they have left the world of heavy metal.
Greetings from Bogota - Colombia

Anvil = metal gods.
When i saw the docu about how you guys were screwed over by the industry kinda made me mad but then again everyone who truly cares about metal knows you guys. I had the chance to see you guys but my dumb ass slept too long and i missed your gig at Graspop >_< shouldn't have drank so much and kept a better eye on the times when bands were playing. I really hope ill get another chance to see you guys perform live because in my eyes you are one of the epic bands that i will talk about to my grand children when i talk to them about the origin of metal and general badassery. I have a list of bands i want to see before they inevitably disappear due to time and death's (like Maiden, Judas priest, Kiss,Aerosmyth and ofcourse Anvil!!) and i really hope i'll get the chance to see you guys ROCK out with your c0ck's out ^^
My salute to you, gods of metal, and may the dark messenger of metal keep a vigil eye over you all.
Ps: The docu was great and i was shocked to find out how you guys were struggling for a while but that was just because of playing in the spots and bad advertisement i guess ^^ if i'd tell ppl around here Anvil was coming they'd all join me !

Watched the Documentary and throughout noticed that the one thing that has held this band back for decades isn't being addressed.
Their music is just average even for metal. It's generic, simple and stereo-typical. It's not their bad luck, or that they never had a break or that they have a horrible manager it's that their music is mediocre at best.
Slayer, Metallica, White Snake, and comparable bands all have one thing in common that contributed to their success. A sound that is their own and music that is extraordinary.
Write good music and success will find you. It's that simple. Write ordinary riffs that take little effort and you'll struggle.

I grew up listening Metal music. The movie touched me strong! But Chris (Reply #36 on Jun 18, 2011, 10:54am) has the point. Their music is average. I see success of Anvil more in some kind of Reality Show than in pure music scene. Anyway, keep on rockin and stay cool as you are!!!!!

Hey you guys! I just watched the doc about Anvil and it blows my mind off. Course I had listeting to Anvil before, but never knew the truth story. The movie was an inspiration for me, gave me strong to pursuit my dream. Here in Brazil, things are more complicated, because we dont have the minimum to achieve what we believe. Sepultura is our inspiration, but they are the only one. We have here a lot of Anvils, and a lot of Lips who believes in what they´re doing and a lot of good bands and excellent bands like ANVIL who need to show their art! You guys will have what you deserve soon! Keep metalizing! Keep metal on metal! Thanks to make us belive again!
